Stefan arrives in Memphis and moves in with Dima and Georgi, whose house is a hotel for immigrants. They sway Stefan to stay in town, although Chicago is a distant dream. He meets Rada. A fight breaks out and he must leave. He appreciates more of his community and returns on the Day of Atonement. They remain stronger together, than apart.
